Cannelloni – Stuffed with broccoli and spinach from Sorello’s.
Street Breakfast – A hot savory pastry filled with carrots and onions. Mmmm.
Caviar – During the intermission at the Bolshoi we headed downstairs to the bar and had a light snack of caviar and salami. It was the first time I’d had caviar and while it wasn’t my favorite, it wasn’t as fishy-tasting as I thought it would be.
Cheese Bun – Delicious cheesy, gooey goodness.
Braised Duck Medallions – with tomato, eggplant and zucchini with lemon sauce. Considering I rarely eat duck and pretty much never eat eggplant or zucchini, this was one of my favorite meals thus far!
Cowberry and Black Current Smoothy – It really was as good as it sounds; thick with chunks of fruit throughout and just the right amount of tartness.
Minestrone Soup – Huge. Steaming. Bowl. Just what I needed to thaw out from the cold.
Black Tea– Thank God Russians love tea too!
French Hot Dog – Street food on the walk home from a bar. Its a hot dog shoved into a long roll with a hallowed out center.
We were surprised that it was really difficult to find tradition Russian food in Moscow. Most “authentic” restaurants were really expensive or really far away. As such, we ate a lot of international cuisine.

Sounds like you didn’t need ‘authentic’ food – this all looks sensational!
Happy travels!!
It all looks delicious! I’ve only had caviar once and I wasn’t wild about it either but the rest looks gorgeous! I
