Yesterday afternoon, my parents boarded a plane back to California after a 10 day visit to my coast.
We had the good fortune to spend Mother’s Day at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina.
We stayed at the Holiday Innright on the beach and were greeted in the morning by a stunning sunrise.
My family has always had an affinity for the beach (living in California will do that), but this was the first time we’d spent time on the beaches of the East Coast.
We couldn’t get over how warm the water was, the lack of palm trees or the fact that the sun didn’t set on the water.
Better yet? We got to catch up with some old friends now living in Wilmington!
