There’s an exciting new feature on the blog – Where in the World? archive links! Now when you click a pinpointed location on the Where in the World? page, a list of links to blog posts about that location appears. So cool. I’m stoked, hope you are too!
Life:
I’m moving!!! To Washington DC! This weekend!
Getting out of Sacramento has long been on my To Do List and I’m so so glad that the time has finally come. Not to say that Sac is bad per say, but it feels much smaller than it used to and its time for a change of scenery.
Never one to miss an opportunity for a eventful trip, I’ve opted to forego the fly-then-ship-my-belongings method of moving in exchange for a six-day cross-country road trip! One of my great girlfriends, Diana, from University of Oregon (I actually started out as her intern freshman year!) is flying in from Portland, OR tomorrow to make the drive with me.
It’ll be two proud Duck alums, a feisty cat and a macho puppy in a minivan, traveling 2,981 miles overland from Sacramento to DC. We’ve got some exciting stops planned along the way – including watching the Superbowl some where in New Mexico?
We’re hopeful that the snow currently engulfing the majority of the country gives it a break for a few days so that the roads aren’t too messy. Fingers crossed!
Your blogs arouse my interests in travelling !
Congrats on the new move!
Did you figure out a way for your posts to automatically filter to your map by locale as you publish them? I’ve had the same map up on my Destinations page for a year, but I have to go in and manually enter the GPS coordinates for all my blog posts before they’ll filter accordingly, which I just haven’t had time to do =/ Wondering if you found an easier way…
I could not for the life of me figure out to automatically populate the map as I publish. So, I too am manually entering for each post. If you figure it out let me know!
